The Great American Beer Festival was held in Denver, Colorado last week. A significant festival component is the commercial beer competition, where breweries submit their beers for review by a professional panel. The results are in, and Bend was once again well-represented.
This year’s competition saw an 11% increase in number of entries. 3,930 beers were entered from 526 breweries hailing from 48 states plus Puerto Rico … all vying for 248 medals. In short, the competition was stiff, but our local Bend breweries once-again did the home town proud.
