The 2011 Abyss from Deschutes Brewery was officially released last night at the Bend Pub. We had the chance to head down and share a couple of glasses with friends. My favorite was the 2011 Abyss on Nitro, so smooth. In addition to the 2011 Abyss, you could choose from several other vintages, even a vertical tasting.
Chef Matt Neltner also put together a collection of Abyss themed dishes that showed off the complexity of this fantastic beer. This event, along with the time change signals that winter is here and snow is on the way. Stock up on Abyss to keep you warm and toasted!
