If you didn’t know it already, Bend has some amazing beer and Visit Bend is doing its part to promote the glorious, hoppy goodness with the Bend Ale Trail.
The Deschutes Brewery Sagebrush Classic at Broken Top is coming up, July 16-17, 2010. This is an amazing event that raises funds for the Deschutes Children’s Foundation and other regional children’s charities.
Jon over at The Brew Site reported that Boneyard Beer formerly, Brewtal Brewing, has opened a 20-barrel production facility in Bend and will work a tasting room and direct sales into the mix at some point. The New Bond Street Series release, Hop in the Dark will be available starting this month and continuing through September. The new C.D.A. style is a Northwest creation that Deschutes is spearheading, you may have heard of this style refereed to before as a Black IPA.
There’s a press release that came through last week that has me excited: Deschutes Brewery and Hair of the Dog are collaborating (for the first time ever for both of them) on a beer that will be released in 2011:
