The Little Woody 2011 On Its Way

The Little Woody tasting glassesThe Little Woody, right here in Bend, OR, is set for September 2nd and 3rd … so get it on your beer calendar!  The Little Woody is a beer fest that celebrates the art of barrel-aged beer.  Each year, more and more breweries are creating works of brewing art by marrying beer with all kinds of barrels … virgin regional oak, wine, bourbon, scotch, brandy … you name it.  If someone’s used a barrel to make something tasty, I can almost guarantee that a brewer has taken a barrel from that process, and aged a beer in it.

How lucky are we that we have a growing beer fest celebrating this art form right in our own back yard!

This marks the third year for the Little Woody, and it continues the trend of growing year over year.  As of this writing, the number of breweries has jumped from last year’s 9 to this year’s 12.  This growth in numbers can be attributed to both the swelling number of local breweries here in Central Oregon as well as the attraction of more out-of-area breweries who want to participate.

So come on out and join us at the Little Woody!

Without further ado, here’s the info.
